Housing

Enclosure should be minimum of 36x18x18. There are options of glass, pvc, and others available. Bigger is always good for your dragon!

Enclosure should contain a basking platform and enrichment such as climbing branches

Enclosure should be well ventilated
Temperature and Lighting

Basking spot of 100-110 degrees – Basking lamp w/ Dimmer and basking bulb needed

Cool side in the low 80s

UVB Light – Tube light recommended – Hung inside the enclosure Reptisun 10.0 or Arcadia brands are what we use.

Humidity should be 30%-40%

12-hour light/dark cycle

Temperature gun and thermo/hydrometer to monitor temps on cool side as well
Substrate

For beginners and baby dragons we recommend paper towels or newspaper. You can also use tile or a slab of slate or shelf liner.
Supplements

Calcium with D3 – We use Miner All

Vitamins – Reptile vitamin used 2-3 times per week (we use Rep-Cal Multivitamins) or a daily use vitamin like Repashy Superveggie – We sprinkle these on their salad for all dragons per manufacturers instructions
Water

Babies up to 4 months we mist their salad and offer water every 2-3 days via syringe or dropper. Dragons over 4m are offered a soak in water just up to their elbows with close supervision – DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DRAGON UNATTENDED
Food – General Guideline – May need to be adjusted for your dragon
All Dragons - Salad – daily – we use collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens and a spring mix, sometimes adding shredded carrots and summer squash for variety
2-3 Months Old
Bugs 3x per day, dusted w/ calcium 2x
4-6 Months Old
Bugs 2x per day, dusted with calcium 1x
7-10 Months Old
Bugs in the AM dusted w/ calcium
Bugs every other day in the PM
10-12 Months and Up
Bugs 2x per week, dusted with calcium – watch dragons’ weight and adjust to 1x per week as needed
